Tradition build to last.
At 717 Builders, we believe great construction starts with intentional craftsmanship, thoughtful collaboration, and a commitment to building homes that stand the test of time.
717 Builders is a residential construction company rooted in craftsmanship, integrity, and a commitment to building homes that stand the test of time. Based in Teton Valley, we specialize in high-quality custom construction and thoughtfully executed residential projects.
Our work is driven by a respect for traditional building methods paired with practical, modern construction practices. We believe that quality begins with understanding materials, honoring proven techniques, and paying close attention to every detail — from framing to finish work.
At 717 Builders, we take a hands-on, collaborative approach to every project. Clear communication, transparency, and reliability are central to how we work. We partner closely with homeowners, architects, and designers to ensure each build reflects both vision and function, while maintaining efficiency and accountability throughout the process.
Whether constructing a custom home or completing a specialized project, our focus remains the same: thoughtful planning, precise execution, and results built to last. We’re proud to contribute to the homes and communities we build in — delivering work defined by quality, durability, and purpose.
Lewis Stoltzfus
Owner
Originally from Pennsylvania, Lewis brings nearly 15 years of hands-on construction experience to every project. His approach to building is rooted in traditional craftsmanship, practical problem-solving, and a deep respect for doing things the right way — values formed early and carried through every stage of his career.
What began as a move for work soon became home. Drawn to the mountains and the way of life in Teton Valley, he planted roots and built his career in the region.
In November of 2024, he launched 717 Builders with the goal of delivering honest, high-quality work grounded in proven methods and thoughtful execution. He believes in understanding materials, honoring time-tested techniques, and creating spaces built to last.
Outside of work, he spends his time seeking adventure — riding motorcycles and dirt bikes, jeeping, hunting, woodworking, skiing, and skijoring.
